Ichibantei is an intimate Japanese restaurant near Union Square and the East Village, open late every night until 3 AM. Our upstairs floor is a natural fit for group dinners, celebrations and private events — and can be reserved exclusively when you want the whole space to yourselves.

The space

  • Seated dinner: around 28–32 guests on our second floor.
  • Standing / mixed reception: up to 50 guests.
  • Private buyout: reserve the entire upstairs floor for a fully private experience — ideal for parties of about 20 or more.

We don’t have a separate enclosed private room. Instead, the upstairs floor gives you a semi-private setting for smaller groups, or a completely private one when you buy it out.

Menus & pricing

Group bookings are served from one of our two prix-fixe course menus — $60 or $75 per person — built around Japanese comfort food: ramen, donburi, katsu, curry and teishoku sets, with vegan and vegetarian options available on request. A full upstairs buyout is available for larger groups — share your headcount and occasion and we’ll put together a quote and recommend the right course.
