Ichibantei is an authentic Japanese restaurant in the East Village, near Union Square, available as a filming location for restaurant and dining scenes. Its genuine Japanese design and warm lighting read naturally on camera with minimal set dressing.
What We Can Offer
- Off-hours access: The restaurant, or just the upstairs floor, can be reserved for your shoot outside regular service — and our late hours (open until 3 AM) allow overnight scheduling.
- Authentic setting: Dining room, counter and bar, plus an open kitchen for food-prep shots.
- On-camera food: Real Japanese dishes prepared for dining scenes, with continuity for repeated takes.

Capacity is around 28–32 seated (up to about 50 standing), so the space suits intimate and mid-size scenes rather than large crowd shots. We’re happy to discuss your specific requirements, available dates and rates.
